Dr. Nima Tirgan

Dr. Nima Tirgan, MD is a fellowship trained Vitreo-Retinal specialist and Ophthalmologist with the Greater Ohio Eye Surgeons. He completed his undergraduate degree at Case Western Reserve University. He then earned his medical doctorate from the Medical University of Ohio. Dr. Tirgan went on to complete a combined Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. He then completed his Ophthalmology residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch. After his Ophthalmology training, Dr. Tirgan went on to complete a Vitreo-retinal Fellowship at the Retinal Institute of West Virginia.

Dr. Tirgan is a fellowship trained Vitreo-Retinal disease and surgery also practicing medical and surgical comprehensive ophthalmology. Conditions that he will treat include cataracts, diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, uveitis, retinal tears, and retinal detachments. Dr. Tirgan has an interest in diabetic retinopathy therapeutic research.

When he is not in clinic, Dr. Tirgan enjoys spending time with family. His hobbies include gardening and the outdoors.

Dr. Tirgan is currently accepting new patients in our Springfield, London, and Urbana offices.
